Silence remains golden

I do not know how something so small can become such a weighty issue. A careless word ignites resentment and triggered a dredge of past misgivings. This time, it is to my benefit that I keep silent and let it rest. In truth, we just let the disturbing sand descend as silt only to be dredged up in future by the next tide.
