I enjoyed a re-run of Bedazzled on Channel 5 last night. The critically not-so-acclaimed movie anointed me with such enlightenment that I am compelled to jot it down.
Liz Hurley aka the Devil was playing chess with a black guy aka personification of God (?). Somehow, it struck me that Heaven and Hell may be one Big Organisation whose aim is to teach everyone on Earth the meaning of BALANCE.
What is night without day?
What is black without white?
What is wrong without right?
What is up without down?
How do you truly feel happiness without feeling sad?
The opposites do belong to each other, without one you can never appreciate the other.
Ahhh...BALANCE is one simple word. The trick is how do you achieve it?
