06/07 1st day in Sapporo

It was not a long flight but it felt endless. From Changi to Narita, and then to New Chitose. 9 hours in the air. Took some pictures of the clouds and the green pastures with the ANA wing in the foreground. It did not feel exciting to take the routine pictures of the various JR signs, the food and the train seats. Hah! Overdose of Nippon finally setting in? We shall see. 

This time, it will be nature for 75% of the trip. That should prove to be invigorating.

On the way to Asahikawa for a transfer to a local train to Biei.
